Greek Historical Periods   

The vocabulary "Greek Historical Periods" is developed by National Documentation Centre (EKT). It is hierarchical, bilingual and has been linked to Dpedia. It covers the whole of Greek history from 8,000 BC until today. It was created as a tool for cultural content documentation.

  • Age features/Facts : - Maintenance of the social composition, political organization and economy as they formed in the previous period (Middle Helladic Period l) - Stagnation and regression in almost all aspects of the Middle Helladic civilization / Monotony in the cultural expression and isolation of mainland Greece, which had as a result the ignorance of the technical and artistic advances that other countries and regions experienced 
  • Description : The second of the three total subperiods in which the Middle Helladic Period period is distinguished.
